Here’s a recap of the tireless work to complete the discovery of all Temple Run 2 Ring Artifacts. Have a look at the artifacts and all their glory here. Interesting thought – Wouldn’t it be cool if we could place all ten rings on one of the Temple Run 2 character’s fingers and turn them into the Mandarin? LOL – now you’re just talking crazy…. because eventually Tony Stark would hunt you down and find out you are just a facade to the real Mandarin who will eventually cut Tony’s suit in half with his Extremis infused hands, but get blown to bits by Extremis Pepper Pots. Uh… spoiler alert?
Editorial Review:
While I can understand the randomness of the artifact collection process Imangi put together, I feel they could have easily created an intelligent, progressively difficult collection methodology, requiring the runs to be longer and more perfect. And, it wouldn’t hurt to drop a few clues in the achievement and objectives. Rather than just displaying “Hidden” with no explanation, there could be a small “i” information icon displaying hints/clues for the adventurers to focus their attention on in subsequent runs.
Feature request: If Imangi is reading the early reactions to the artifacts, they’ll notice gamers asking – “What do the artifacts do?”. Great question. To steal a term from Bloons Tower Defense – “Activated Ability”. The Abilities framework is already in place. It wouldn’t be difficult to either add another “Artifact Ability” to the abilities section, or enhance current abilities by ‘turning on’ specific artifact powers.
Also, I’d really like to get feedback on how many of you have collected two or more artifacts in a single run. How many did you collect and which ones were they?
In case you missed it, this fantastic quest started here. Enjoy!
** Also, be sure to vote for your favorite feature release for the next update of Temple Run 2! **
I had abandoned Level 9 like others after the first round of objectives. I just recently started playing again with the new update, Artifacts. I found two artifacts in one run only once. The rings discovered were the same: the infinity ring. I now have 8 of those. I, like others, have spent a great amount of time playing this game. I also play TR Oz which I really like. I wonder if the programmers have day jobs and do not or cannot think up and execute ideas like the ones listed earlier in this blog. I do wish the game got more difficult with distance and levels. In Oz, the gems, power ups and difficulty are more predictable which is nice. Thank you for creating this blog, Buffy
Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me what is the use of these artifacts? Are they useful to power ups or something. N if yes, then how?
There are currently no “power-up” capabilities with the Ring artifacts (see the notes earlier in this post). I’m sure Imangi has something in the works planned, but for now they’ve been pretty quiet. If we can get enough of us to voice our requests here, I’m sure Imangi will take notice and release the features we all have been looking for!
Hie, thanks for replying. Have a good day admin.
I just updated the new update from Imangi regarding bug fixes for iPad air.
I have an iPad mini and now the games is huge on the screen…too big to play! YIKES! Any ideas how to reverse this? I am tech challenged
Anyone else think that the rings are not random? They seem to depend on what happens just after collecting the artifact/how you die. For example you trip over a root, jump towards a floating island, fall from a half path…
I’m a bit disapointed that after all that work all you can do is put a damn Santa cap on your character! Oh yeah I have all the rings, masks, and X-mass specials. And what can they do?….like I said…you don a friggen’ cap!
i can’t find the last 1
